The biggest things that alot of newer webmasters forget is ad-friendly sites. Ad friendly sites are ranked in a system sorta speak off of what Google and Yahoo find friendly. These sites basically can go with any ad and makes it ad friendly. If your site is ad-friendly you greatly up your chance to get more of a better paying click on your AdSense. I know alot of people don’t get what it means to be ad-friendly and to be honest I don’t get it 100% either.
Take this blog for instance its extremely plain in all aspects of things. There’s hardly any color and its simple however it is one of the most ad-friendly templates on the market today.
Now if your site isn’t along the ad-friendly terms don’t panic you can still make a bundle of your site if the content is good. So don’t be stressing now whether your site is ad friendly. Just go with the flow use something that puts ads in a nice simple manner of display along with something professional looking. As mentioned before its not about how many ads you can stuff into a page its about location and quality of the site.
Sorry if this blog was vague I’ll get more in depth on ad-friendly sites and design.
